Design, Planning and Development
Project design, planning and implementation are three areas in which Baastel has a vast amount of experience and we can offer advice on creating the documents for project approvals, proposals and work plans. Using our expertise in results-based management, we examine the quality of logical frameworks, success measurement tools and risk assessments. Baastel’s experience in program implementation includes all that this implies, such as: needs assessment, detailed planning, team and resource management, monitoring and evaluation, fine-tuning of instruments/tools, capacity building, research and strategic analysis form the core of Baastel’s implementation experience.
Implementation
Baastel offers implementation support services for development projects and programs in place in various sectors and regions throughout the world. The institutional support provided by Baastel extends to planning (developing work plans, project management team coordination and action planning), organization, management (steering committee formation, budgetary and administrative management support) as well as reporting, which includes producing an evaluation matrix, defining indicators and systematically monitoring frameworks. Moreover, Baastel can provide technical support for the implementation of field activities in a variety of areas, including the environment, capacity building, agriculture, water and sanitation, and corporate social responsibility. Baastel’s operational and technical capacities support program- and project-based development initiatives.
Capacity Building
At Baastel we have many major capacity-building assignments to our credit. For over a decade, we have been advising national and international organizations as they address the various facets of capacity building and reinforcement. Baastel’s experts are often called upon to lead information gathering missions and to assess the needs and implementation of capacity-building programs and initiatives.

Policy Development and Analysis
Thanks to the experience gained over the years, Baastel offers professional services in the development and analysis of public policies and policies of international organizations in various domains (environment; agriculture; water and sanitation; corporate social responsibility; health; education; socio-economic development, etc). Analysis of a policy is carried out through the review of its conceptual and regulatory framework, the relevance of its objectives, and the effectiveness of both its implementation and the impacts associated with it. Therefore, this process involves not only the analysis of the policy’s constituent parts, but also includes the synthesis and design of viable alternatives. In terms of policy development, Baastel’s preferred approach is composed of the following steps:
· An analysis of the specific context and the objectives to be reached;
· The proposal of a clear implementation strategy; and,
· The identification of useful tools – regulatory, legislative and management/monitoring as related to policy implementation.Research and Study
